Homemade Iced Tea

It’s so easy and so much better tasting that that junk you buy in a jar or bag.

To make one gallon you will need:
  • Ten tea bags
  • About 1/2 to 3/4 cups sugar or Xylitol (a natural sugar substitute)
  • 1.5 quart pot
Fill the pot with water and bring to a boil. Turn the stove off. Put your teabags in a pot. I use eight decaf green tea bags and two fruit, like blueberry or peach. It’s also easier if you tie the bags in a knot. Let this sit for a couple of hours. Add half of this concentrate to your pitcher and fill with water. Save the rest for the next batch.

Don’t squeeze the bags, as this makes tea bitter. You can, however, rinse the water through the tea bags when filling your pitcher. You will first have to pour your second batch of concentrate into another container.
