2 cups ketchup
2 cups tomato sauce
1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
1/2 cup unsulfured molasses
4 tsp. liquid smoke
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. chili pepper powder
1 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
In 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, tomato sauce, dark brown sugar, molasses, liquid smoke, vinegar and butter. Heat to a simmer.
Add all remaining ingredients and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of sauce desired.
Brush on meat during the last 10 minutes of cooking. Can also be used as table condiment
